The Rural Caucus is Coming – May 20th!

Mark your calendars and get your group registered: this year’s Rural Caucus & Strategy Session will be Saturday, May 20th in the Linn/Benton county area!

For more than 30 years, small-town and rural organizers and community leaders from across Oregon have joined together annually at the Rural Caucus & Strategy Session to reflect on the previous year and to set the direction and priorities for our movement for human dignity for the upcoming year. Register your group for the Caucus today and join us to strategize about the organizing happening in rural communities and small towns across Oregon, connect with groups and community leaders from other parts of the state, and plan together for the year ahead!

Each year the Caucus is hosted by local human dignity group leaders who are doing inspiring organizing to advance democracy. This year the Caucus will be in the Linn/Benton county area, where community leaders have done ground-breaking organizing to elect local leaders who uphold democracy, hosted powerful community education events about building a healthy democracy, fiercely organized to resist the criminalization of their houseless neighbors, and, in the case of Lebanon, hosted the first pride event in their community’s history!

So much has happened around the state since the last Caucus:

There will be so much to discuss and strategize about! Will you, your human dignity group, and your friends be there to represent your community?

Register here for the 2023 Rural Caucus & Strategy Session and stay tuned for more details coming soon! Do you have questions in the meantime? Reach out to emma@rop.org
