A Summer Dance Party! To benefit the Rural Organizing Project (and all of our psyches!)

On Saturday, August 18th 6-9pm

In Cara’s Backyard: – just over the St. Johns Bridge in Portland. Directions provided upon RSVP!

Marcy Westerling and Cara Shufelt are hosting a summertime party.  There will be good food from Old Wives Tales, great beer (thanks Captured by Porches!), wonderful people, and an excellent DJ!

This is a party to celebrate our movement for justice in rural Oregon and the people who make it happen.  We’ll enjoy a lovely Oregon summer evening, we’ll mingle with others who care about justice, we’ll dance to great tunes, and we’ll invite you to support the work of ROP.

Mark your calendar for August 18th and let us know either way if you can join us at cara@rop.org and marcy@rop.org. Feel free to invite partners, friends, and family, but do let us know who and how many to expect.

Put on your dancin’ shoes because ROPers and urban friends are gonna dance the night away!

*A special note from Marcy:  “I will be getting my inside look scan results the week prior – these determine if this chemo is working after a long year of limited success in containing my cancer.  So, you can well imagine that dancing, if the results are good (please!) or bad (wah!) will be very, very therapeutic.”
