Volunteers make it all happen.

Hundreds of you volunteer to bring human dignity one step closer in your community.  Volunteers are the way we combat attacks on democracy, educate our neighbors about key issues, stand up for undocumented immigrants, for LGBT families, for poor and working class Oregonians.

Did you know that volunteers are also the secret to how we keep ROP’s organizational basics like our database, website, and even this listserv strong on a shoestring budget?

Could you be our next Database Master?

If you see beauty in data we need someone that is detail oriented to help keep our database updated.  There is no social movement without systems to keep us connected – come help us to strengthen and maintain ours! The ideal commitment is somebody that can come to the ROP office in Scappoose, Oregon for a minimum of a 2-hour shift each week to help us keep our database updated and keep us in touch with the hundreds and thousands of human dignity activists that we meet out on the road.  You don’t need to have experience in data, but you do need to have basic computer skills and high accuracy and attention to detail!  If your schedule allows for a different commitment, say one day per month, let’s also talk.  We can be flexible.

This is our most pressing need – though if your skills lie elsewhere: gardening, phonecalling, researching, graphic design, we likely have projects that we could use help on in your area of expertise as well – even if you are not withing commuting distance of Scappoose.

Forward this message to friends, family, neighbors and students.  Help us find that perfect Data Master.

Applicants should contact me at cara@rop.org, or at 503-543-8417 to schedule an interview.
