ROP’s election work is based on the idea that one-on-one communication that is sincere and from our neighbors is the most effective method of making change. Member groups make plans, go door-to-door, host ballot measure forum and write letters to the paper each election cycle in an effort to strengthen democracy and engage people in the movement for social justice long after the election has passed.
STAND Voter Guide
Each election ROP creates and distributes the STAND (Small Town Action for New Direction) Voter Guide. This piece of literature is unique to election work – it was written by and for small town voters with a personal tone and hometown analysis built in to every issue.
Typically STAND Guides are personalized by local member groups and hand delivered around neighborhoods, at markets or during events. Everyone is welcome to use the STAND guide during your election work.
