Dear ROP family,
I would like to thank ROP and its amazing staff for being incredible women to work alongside. It is with a sad heart that I am writing you all to say I have decided to move on from ROP. I have learned to so much and grown so much in my time with ROP, and I am grateful for the opportunity to return to rural Oregon. I really want to say thank you to all those who have touched me with their hard work and dedication and to all our leaders and groups for putting in the time to keep moving our movement in the right direction. This year has been tough, we have seen defeats where victories were won, but we must continue on and remember why we are all invested in this work, and where our values as small town Oregonians lie. And those values are what make us strong and who we are as a community at ROP, we are a family. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and into your homes. I am truly blessed and honored to meet such amazing strong leaders from all corners of the state. Thank you for being who you are.
I also feel blessed that I was able to support and help grow our Latino organizing by building up strong leaders and Human Dignity Groups, as well as helping to strengthen our deep commitment to racial justice in rural Oregon. ROP will always have a soft spot in my heart and I hope to continue supporting the great work ROP is building from afar. I have not quite decided where my next role will be, but rest assured I am in this movement for the long-haul! I hope to see some of you around! If you would love to stay in touch with me, please email me at RositaNavarro84@gmail.com
Warmly,
