This week is very busy for Causa, our supporters, our partners and our allies both in Oregon and in Washington D.C.  There are several events planned around Comprehensive Immigration Reform and Driver’s License Restoration. We need you to join us at one or more of following important events to send a message to our elected representatives that there must be action on driver’s licenses in Oregon and immigration reform at the federal level.

ACTIONS IN OREGON FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

Tomorrow (Wednesday, April 10th), Causa Oregon and allies will visit the Oregon offices of U.S. Representatives Greg Walden in Bend and Peter DeFazio in Eugene.  We will urge them to support a Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill that includes a pathway to citizenship and legalization for 11 million undocumented immigrants working and living in the United States.

DELEGATION TO WASHINGTON D.C. 

While actions taking place in Oregon, immigration reform supporters from around the nation are converging on Washington D.C. to hold a mass Rally for Immigration Reform, to hold members of Congress accountable and to urge them to support a bill that includes legalization for 11 Million Undocumented Immigrants with a pathway to citizenship.

A delegation from Oregon will go to Washington D.C. to attend the Rally and to meet with Oregon’s U.S. Senators and Representatives on April 10th and 11th to get a firm response on their positions regarding immigration reform. Members of the delegation will be composed of staff and volunteers from Causa Oregon, PCUN, Voz Hispana Causa Chavista and Oregon DREAMers
