If you’re like us, you’ve been wondering – isn’t somebody going to do something about this? Is the tea party right really gaining steam for their regressive vision of our country? This forum is a chance to hear from candidates on issues that matter to us, but it’s more than that. Like other human dignity groups, we’ve drawn inspiration recently from the Contract for the American Dream and will use it to guide our conversation.
We’re preparing testimonies from rural and small-town residents of District 1 to root this special election in our reality and shine a spotlight on our vision – of a thriving country, that puts people before profits, that values resiliance, but also social responsibility. In our own corner of the state, we’re working to (not to sound too corny) Rebuild the American Dream.
If you live in District 1 or nearby, we hope you can join us! If not, feel free to send us your thoughts on how to Rebuild the Dream – and then forward this invitation to your friends who live in our District.
